Visionaries of this Era

Visionaries of this era hush and listen for the time is apt

Listen to the rhythm of the drum that wakes the soul born to thrive, born to shine

Birthed from the sultry womb of Africa herself

Hush and listen for the lyrics of our cause may elude us amidst the pollution of the day

Ancestors past, present and to be shall fail to lay with grace until you deliver

 uhuru in her bare nakedness

Stand up and ululate with conscious vigour for the calling has come to you, you and you

Leaders dance with the poise of your inclination whilst the tune of this beat still speaks to the needs of our nation and greater nations

Let us sing as we send Aluta on her way with revered gratitude for her impetuous teachings, however brutal the cusp of her hand may have been

Take pride in this production for no other will ever be equipped with another you

Own the rights to this story for it can only be written once

Shhh hush

Listen to the rhythm of the drum that wakes the soul born to thrive, born to shine

Birthed from the sultry womb of Africa herself

  1. am speechless. If we the visionaries of this Era, don’t seize our place in history and deliver Uhuru for mother Africa, then we have condemned her to barrenness and discounted our birth rights for mediocrity. UHURU in our lifetime. Totally inspiring poem Enhle. Keep them coming.
